May be the tranny?

So i went out yesterday and at about half a tank somthing starts to slip right about the time it usaly hits 2nd it just revs and dosnt go any faster, now at lower speeds everything seems fine...:shrug: does this sound like a tranny problem?


ps why would it work fine till a half a tank is gone if its the tranny

yes,sounds like 2nd gear is stripped. rrp makes some very nice replacements, and if its not the 3.3 model they have alot better tranny. might check around ebay or forums for a 3.3 tranny.

would a 3.3 tranny work on mine was a .15 tmaxx

I think the hole pattern is a bit different and you have to have a different spur gear/brake set-up for the newest tranny that is forward only anyway. Not sure about the regular old type 3.3
