ok I'm running a os 18 on an orig pro 15 trany still with reverse. so far it has lasted 2 gallons! my current prob is.... I can run through first gear perfectly right when the tranny goes to shift the keeps revving with no speed increase. I'm hitting my engine maxx rpm but the last 1/4 throttle is all sound no speed increase. I've taken the tranny apart and every thing is perfect. all pawls are stilll there and move smoothly. I looked at the one way bearing on the long shaft goin through the center of the tranny (in the mid of 2nd gear). the shaft is barely shinny and the bearing still grips quite well. any ideas? how exactly do the gears shift from first to second?

Maybe your clutch is slipping. Did you look at that?

Does it act any differently on concrete as opposed to grass?

I'm with Busted Gears on this one, try tightening the slipper down all the way, then backing the nut off 1/4th of a turn. That should be in the area, if memory serves. If it still doesn't shift after that, you may have to adjust your shift-point. That is covered in the manual.

That's definently a shift point problem. It's been all out of wack.
Do you still have your manual? It would be much easier to have that on hand and use it as a walk though guide, as your trying to adjust it.
If you don't have one, I have like 4 or 5 of them.
I can hand right up that section of the manual for you.
