Ok i have a 4910 max has a trx 3.3 on it rrp spur and foc. I recently had a pretty nasty wreck with it. Was going down the road at about 35 and started doing cartwheels lol anyways it landed on its wheels but when i hit the throttle nothing. ended up when the motor hit pavement it shifted it in the mounts and messed up the mesh. cb = toast lol bought a new cb and the spur just almost rubs the housing of the bell i can get it to mesh up good but is the shaft on a 2.5 just ever so slightly shorter than that on a 3.3. the old bell was like this to but seemed like it meshed better maybe bc it was used and already worn jw tho
 
Upload pictures. It will help understand the problem.
I know there is a abundance of people that have swapped the 2.5 out for the 3.3 and I haven't heard of any issues so maybe there is another problem. Maybe the crash caused something else to warp, such as the chasis or motor mount, or maybe the holes in the chasis became a little "wallowed out." Crashes always seem to come with the extra "SURPRISE" just when you think everything is good... Suprise. Or maybe that's just my bad luck...lol anyway that's just my best guess maybe some of the experienced guys can give you something better.

OH and I did have an issue with the spur gear on my 2.5 maxx running up against the battery box but I bought it used and it has been through living HE$L...:-) I just ended up cutting a slot in the battery box to make it work... Lol that's another story though.
 
Well i dont really think it did that or anything when i took my motor off to look at my cb my the bolts for my motor werent as tight as they should have been so thats y it moved. The old spur was the same way it just doesn't look right to me but i will post a pic when i get home from work this evening. its almost like the spur isnt pushed up to the tranny far enough but to get it up further id have to grind some metal away which i dont wanna do bc i dont wanna deal with keeping the wobble out of the spur

that last post was at devin and 2revo you might be right it was like this from when i bought it tho so i didnt think anything of it how can i tell for sure if its bent ill take some pics tonight and post em tho
 
The 4910 chassis is much thinner than the newer ones, and prone to being bent during those upside down crashes.
 
It'll work like it is for now i got it to mesh good last night when i was messing with it. and took it out and ran it thru a couple tanks no prob. But i am really thinking about buying this and just putting my front and rear clip on it

that seems a little high to me, i would think you could find one cheaper than 80 bux.
 
i was still planning on shopping around maybe seeing what i could get parts individually for and get that price but but idk alot comes with that kit i dont think it could be individually bought for that price
 
Also if you know of or come across a cheaper one please let me know bc i will be buying this kit b4 long and parting out my old stuff
 
Yea i priced it earlier and deff a good bit cheaper ill be doing the upgrade b4 to long got some items on my watch list right now just waitin on taxes so i can go on a ebay rc binge lol gonna upgrade my maxx to a Frankenstein extended maxx and gonna get prob a picco max for it maybe a red dot havnt made up my mind yet. and gonna get a few parts for my revo
