I like my Maximizer beadlocks a whole lot. They are not heavy like most would think just because you see lots of screws on the ring but they pretty much are close to the same weight as stock HPI Savage wheels. I run them on my Savage and I have never popped a wheel off a bead and best thing is, no more glue which means I can swap tires to different driving surface conditions.
How are they with the hexes inside, do they strip them and round them like the stock wheels do, cos I've been having trouble with my stock wheels being rounded in the hex?
By the way, nice truck NJRC
Thanks Rob78
Everyone pretty much had problems with stock wheel hexes rounding out. I swapped mine out right away with the Maximizers.
As for the wheel hexes....they were built strong. I have done powerful hole shots during take offs and have landed hard on them and took sharp turns and they still are in great shape.
Maximizer makes different wheel designs and I believe colors also. I chose black for the mean stealthy look.
I think I paid like $25 for a pair of wheels but well worth the time to glue wheels and even having the ability to change tires when needed.
I need some bead locks for my Maxx. Will those fit a Maxx?
Nice truck! I like the black wheels with the black body, and crome frame. Looks tough. I can't quit read the tire either. What kind of tires are those?
