Does anyone know how to do the paint job that seems to be around alot lately? It looks like one color is painted first and then somehow removed a bit and then a second color behind. Does anyone know how to do it exactly and any pifalls to worry about?
Thanks and hi to all,

hugo

For the marble affect the easiest and best way to do it is, pour some of the paint onto a plate. Then take a bunch of ball of seran wrap and dip in the paint then blot it onto the body. Wait till it dries then you can spray the color behind it.

Not to worry it's simple. 4u2nv had one good method. My method is to liberally paint the inside of the body with the main color. Then lay Saran Wrap inside the body and pat it all down. Lift it off and let dry. Or you can just ball the wrap up and dab it all over the paint that you've sprayed. Let it dry then back it with whatever color you want.
Looks like this:

hey candyman what colors did you use on that body? and i was wondering if you could use red and black to do that marble thing? like red first then black?

Why yes, you could use red and black. As a matter of fact, that's what I did. Faskolor Candy Apple Red backed with Fasblack. Simple as that.

Thanks to all. Candyman, nice job. I have a metallic purple and a lime green and black. We'll see....

SWEET!!! that is great paint looking for color ideas for my next scheme intrested in this marble bowlingball effect its beautiful. Since i seen my first pi i like it and want to do this. i saw a pic with very liberal amount of purple and a lot of black was the paint applied black first thanx for any info

hey heres a trick i learned form a good airbrusher friend of mine...instead of one light coat do a single medium coat of the first color and then take a spray bottle of water and spray the body librally while the paint is still wet...once the paint drys and the water has evaporated then you can spray the second color...also the serain wrap is another very good idea
