No, I am talking about ALL mammoth's even tho it says "ST" in the name, it is NO WAY a stadium truck. It is a unlimited MT.

Mammoth ST, HMMMMM, Mammoth=LARGE?????? LARGE ST? So it is STILL a ST, just a Mammoth one. But that said, its a unlimited, so you will find info in the other MT chat.

I do not care what you guys say, I will still defend my views on stadium trucks untill the day I die... For the longest time, stadium trucks were defined as 2WD trucks, w/ a single tranny and diff housed in a single casing; w/ small-block engines, and 1/10 scale...

In fact, according to ROAR, here's what a stadium truck is defined as:
9.4.2 1/10 Scale Fuel Off-road Truck:
9.4.2.1 Dimensional specifications:
Item Limit Specification
Length (B) Maximum 18.0”
Width Maximum 13.0”
Maximum 11.5”
Wheelbase (A) Minimum 9.0”
2WD class 60 ounceWeight s
4WD class
Minimum
64 ounces
Mounting bead diameter Maximum 2.25”
Minimum 2.175”
Overall diameter Maximum 2.46”
Wheels
Width Maximum 2.0”
Diameter Minimum 3.6”
Tires Width Maximum 2.125”
Minimum 2.0”
Chord Maximum 2.0”
Spoiler Width Maximum Body width
Edge turn-up Maximum 0.25”
Body Width Minimum 5.75”
Height Minimum 4.25”
Cab Width Minimum 3.875”
Height Minimum 1.50
Window Height Minimum 1.25”
Slant Maximum 60 degrees
Frontal Area See 8.7.2.2 below Minimum 23.03 sq. inches
9.4.2.2 Formula for Frontal area calculation:
Cab width + body width / 2 x cab height + body width x body height.
9.4.2.3 Tire type: Rubber only
9.4.2.4 Engine size: .12ci only
9.4.2.5 Transmission: Single speed transmissions only
9.4.2.6 Rear suspension: Independent.
9.4.2.7 Body Style: Off-road Truck
9.4.2.8 Wheel arch cut-outs: To molded body line

A mammoth in no way falls into that class...

Dude nobody is arguing with you. Truggies don't race with monster trucks so they made a new class. Its called Unlimited Stadium Truck. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Ok, "Unlimited Stadium Truck" may be what you call it, but if you notice, every track, magazine, and even call it "Unlimited Monster Truck" or, "Outlaw Monster Truck"

And, contrary to what psu is saying, I'm simply explaining what a real stadium truck is...

Yes that is what a stadium truck was. Things are changing though. I think of the mammoth ST as a 1/8 stadium truck.

By your definition the Jato isnt a ST because of its 2 speed tranny.

Just because the Mammoth is large with big tires doesn't mean its not a stadium truck. I mean look at it. It looks like a overgrown stadium truck.
Put it next to a REVO, Savage, T-maxx, then next to a rustler, Jato, xxxnt which one does it look more like???

These are just my opinions no need to flame.

looks more like a truggy to me.. :hammer:

Thank you. Lol. My main reason for saying the mammoth and other trucks like it are not ST's is because mainly of the chassis.

OK, how about the Ofna Blazer SST? They still call it a Stadium Truck. I REALLY dont think peope who call them Unlimited Stadium Trucks would be wrong. ITS UNLIMITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Throw the Stadium Truck rules out the window when you attach "Unlimited" to it. I agree it is not the best name, but then by your "Unlimited Monster Truck" would be wrong too. Since most in the class are "truggys". You agree that the Mammoth looks like a truggy? It is based on the TRUCK not the BUGGY.?!.!?

Like I said before, Ofna Blazer SST (stadium truck), Mayhem ST , Lightning ST , Mammoth ST . Guess not EVERY track, mag calls it a Unlimited Monster Truck or Outlaw Monster truck.

I guess they call it a Stadiun Truck b/c of the profile, not what its built off of.

LOL

Ok, my whole thing or w/e is that the manufacturer's calling them stadium trucks...that's what pisses me off. Why you ask? Well, you asked for it. I go to the track one day to race my xxx-nt. So, I'm practicing and I see these guys pull up in a suv, and get out, and three of them have truggies...or what the manufacturer calls "stadium trucks" so, I watch them drive them around for a little while while my car is cooling off or w/e. The track has a on-site hobby shop, so they all go up to there after driving on the track for a while, and they ask what can they do to make their cars better, so they end up all buying some bowties (AWESOME tires for the type of track) Then, they end up becoming a lot better at driving. I'm sure one of them wasn't a n00b tho, as he seemed to be helping the others out. SO, the track director informs me that we have enough people to race ST for once. So, needless to say, I hurry up and get my stock xxx-nt rtr ready....Yes, it had the stock engine, but it was fine for the track. Anyway, I get to the track for my heat, and I see those guys and a few other ST guys getting ready to race, so I wonder "wtf? o well, they must have just finished running or something..." So, I go and pass over the lap counter loop thing and start racing, and of course I'm only paying attention to what I'm doing, and no body else, but then outta no where, one of the guys hits me w/ his blazer, so I yell at him "WTF?!" and he yells back at me "WTF? GET OUT OF MY WAY, I'M TRYING TO RACE YOU, ASS!" So, I try to ignore it, then I finish my heat, and notice 2 blazers and a Lightning stadium pulling in as well. (along w/ 4 other REAL ST's) Well, I end up in 5th, all the truggies came in 1st, 2nd, and 4th, w/ a rc10gt coming in 3rd. So, needless to say, I'm a little mad that they threw in those trucks w/ me, and the other racers were kinda mad too. So I'm talking to them, and of course we're all talking about what BS it was that they threw them in w/ us. So, they walk up to us, and are just beeing the most ignorant asses you'd ever meet. Claiming that we suck, we got beat by a bunch of n00bs and just really trying to piss us off. And we try to expain to them why they won, and it was because they had much faster vehicles that handled better and such, and no way in hell belonged in our class. And what really pissed us off was them saying that "but we have Blazer stadiums, and a lightning stadium, so they're stadium trucks!" and of course they were just beeing ignorant and not listening to what we had to say whatsoever. And, even the "ringleader" of them was using the same f**king excuse as his newbie friends.
So, I come back next week hoping to have a fair racing expeience this time, but I found out that the same damn people came back, and the race director threw them in w/ us again because the MT guys wouldn't have them in their class, and the kids didn't want to race in the 1/8 buggy class...

Now, I know this is mainly the track's fault, but you can understand if I'm mad at the manufacturers calling them ST's, so n00bs do the same.... HELL, even at the track here since I moved, two more people tried to pull the same poop, and almost got away w/ it...

See, I really don't know why everyone disses the stadium truck guys....I personally really like racing stadium trucks, and I'd like to get back into doing it. Now, they are probably one of the slower classes on the track, but what I like is that they don't cost much to race compared to other classes, they're fun to race (to me), and also easy (again, to me). It's a lot more relaxing than other classes where you're constantly breaking crap, or having to really try hard to do good to the point where it ruins your fun which is what it should be about IMO.....so you can see why I was so mad. And a lot of the other ST guys I race w/ feel the same....

LOL touched a nerve?

I can understand, but it is 100% the tracks fault. A company can call what they sell whatever, but its up to the track to regulate it. Why call it a ST class? Call it a 1/10 class. Also most tracks will only allow .12 unless its a RTR .15. What about those rules? Heck a HPI NMT can't race at our track unless hes a NOOB. Sounds like the race director is an idiot.

1/110 ST is a great class to race, they get the biggest turn outs at my track, and are the only ones that run a 15 min. main every week.

Man....I wish more people were interested in 1/10 ST at my track.... :( My dad even got a xxx-nt so he could race me and my rush, lol but I sold the rush... I want to get back into ST racing, but have a very limited budget....well....x-mas is coming up soon...maybe I can get another xxx-nt then me and my dad could race in the same class...
