got the new 5700 today and put it in the slash, that thing scoots but I am trying to figure the best palce to mount the switch for the esc? Alpine?

Chop it off. twist the wires together. Use your battery as your on off switch.

Use shoe goo to secure it to your chassis. I have mine right next to the ESC so you can turn it off and on without taking off the body.

good plan thanks, btw gonna race it with the mamba motor and esc Tuesday night and see how it handles. I have only ran it for 45 min so far and no heat issues @ 19/86. I imagine if I run the 3s thru it may get warmer but I will race it with 2s....

Change your gearing if your going to use a 3s. Trust me.

what did you end up burning up cause the esc is supposed to be protected from thermonuclear meltdown but the motor isn't right?

Motor died, and had to rewire the ESC due to heat shield begining to bubble and melt. but the motor did catch on fire.
