I'm looking for a nice used ESC, preferably a sidewinder or mamba 25. A good friend of mine that's into RC's has been wanting to get into crawling for some time, but because he's raising a family and just bought them a bigger house so the kids would have their own rooms, he's strapped for cash. I decided to use my spare parts and buy what I needed to build him a nice crawler so that he can get involved in rc crawling, as well as get involved with the kids, and not have to buy a ragged out rig that was filthy, which would only lead to frustration. The only thing that I still need is a decent ESC. I've decided to buy a nice used ESC and spend a lil more than putting in an ESC that will not be wel suited for crawling only to save a few pennies. I've gone this far, no use in taking shorcuts now.

how about a nice novak sport esc instead lol, the what the all pros use they just havent let the cat outta the bag about it yet. lol.

i know that is has up once is brake then up twice is reverse.

yeah actually thats the way I've had my sidewinder set up for a while now, is up once brake and up twice rev, but i just changed it to forward, brake, reverse and i think i like it better lol it will take some getting used to again though.

That's the reason that I talked you into getting the sidewinder. When you're starting to flip over, you can just go into reverse and save yourself. If you have to press once for brakes, then again for reverse, you lose that instaneous reaction that it takes to save a rig mid flip.
