50 bucks gets you a headset to talk smack, a demo disk with some games you can play live, and 1 year subscription to the live service. Its really cheap if you ask me as the speed is awesome, you can play any of the live games as there is no individual cost per game. I know some online games it's like $25 a month but not with the XBOX live.

So theres one price? I drop the $50 for the hardware and thats it? No monthly access charges?

If so I MIGHT be able to talk myself into doing it then.

The only monthly charge is the highspeed internet. Its that simple you drop the $50 you get the headset and a year subscription period no monthly charge from MS and you have unlimited time on no barriers, no boundries. Sweet and simple and it works really well.

I put like two years of my life into Quake3. When you write c++ code for a game, you got problems.

X-Box Live would be a sweet off-season activity. $50/year isn't bad either. I even have an RJ45 at TV for my TiVo. I'm gonna go scope out xbox systems on ebay...
 
They just made a new adapter to work with a wireless router for the Xbox live so you don't have to use a cable, and the current 54mbs is fast enough with the 802.11.d
 
I just got an X-box for $120 plus halo and 2 controllers I'm buying Madden 2004 2morrow for 20more bux I hope it's as good as you guys say it is. Can't wait to get Soul Calibur 2 it looks so kick ass.... xhiunghua best character ever!
