Hi guys, I am having trouble keeping the temps down on my Mach .28 nitro engine. The car seems to be running fine but VERY HOT!! 145 degrees Celsius! I have tried everything. Has anyone had a similar experience with the Mach.28?

339*F? is that right? Well, that is hot... You are going to want to turn all the needles back to Factory setting, then DONT touch your low end just yet. Turn your High Speed needle 1/8 turn at a time making so that the car runs ok, then MINORLY adjust the low end to fine tune. You want to run in the 240-260*F range (not sure what that is C)

145C=293F

Are you talking about the Hyper mach, or the dynamite mach? I have a hyper mach 28 and it normally likes to run on the hotter side, about 270F - 290F.
It runs perfect in that range and I have found no air leaks or any problems with it at all, but if I try to tune it richer to keep the temps down, it tries to stall regulary. I'm still running the glowplug that came with the engine and it shows a nice trail of smoke. I think these engines just like to run hot.

It is the Hyper Mach.28, I think I have a nice trail of smoke so I am pretty sure the engine is getting the right amount of lubrication. The other problem I have is after about 2 mins into a tank it bogs down and runs rich then about 1 min later it runs fine again. Have you had this problem at all???

I've noticed that with my Hyper engine, haven't messed with it enough yet to figure out the problem. I was thinking maybe I hadn't got my tank lid closed all the way, I've always let the lid "pop" closed, never actually pushed the lid down. Only time mine's ever done it is after landing a jump then it just stays rich. Doesn't start running good again unless I lean the HSN a little......

good luck with yours..........if I find anything I'll let ya know....
