Ok,first off hello. This is my first post, and I came straight to the LST forms to start!! Anyway I got this LST 1 with a new LRP .30 in it.Its been fun, breaking it in,and breaking some parts and doing some upgrades. After broken axles, drivelines ect.. now its all good..Now the motor starts up on 1 or 2 pulls and has always run great.I'm on the second gallon of monster fuel. For some reason,it never gets really hot. With my temp gun,its running great around 140.I've seen it as hot as 175.I'm pretty sure tuning has been done correct(I pay a guy who is pretty well known local),and it runs like a raped ape.Anyway on to the hard problem. It will start and run great for about 3/4 of a tank, then just shuts off.Temps around 140-170 and when I go to re-start it,I have to give it a good amount of throttle to get it to start. It will run,but not idle well at that point.I'm lost, and need some help please????Thanks in advance

I would start by looking into a fuel tank leak. LST tanks are notorious for leaks, especially around that darn priming plunger. Best to remove it and fill the hole with JB Weld. I would not use silicone sealer as the fuel will eventually erode it away.

Also check the seam where the two halves of the tank are plastic welded together, along with the lid seal.

As for the temps, those are kinda low. How much bluish smoke do you have coming out of the pipe? Is it just a thin, steady stream (good) or a lot of smoke with oil dripping out of the stinger (bad).

Funny, but true cause when they put this motor in,during break in,they kept having a problem with it not getting hot.It was the seal on the tank.So we put a new one on it.I will check it for sure, but its about a month old.The smoke is a steady, but not huge stream of bluish smoke.
