I have owned my LST for a couple of weeks now and to be honest it's been a PINA. The Picco runs great and I love the way the truck handles but something breaks almost every time I run it.

I have broken a pin in the tranny, had the forward/reverse selector jump out of place, two cv axles right at the bearing, one pin that goes through the cv shaft, and the truck has never been more than one foot off of the ground. If I drove this thing like I drive my Savage I'm afraid it would fall apart.

When I owned an LST I tried to drive it like I drive my Savage. It took one jump and busted 3 arms. I then fixed it, shelved it, then eventually sold it.

Well the LST I got rid of had the Aluminum arms, FOC and got the newer low/Hi gear selector. It ran freaking great. I beat this thing just like my savage. I am not a big aluminum fan but the ally arms helped BIG TIME. The side rails is what broke on me. No lid and a bad landing upside down killed my day.

Well it has rpm arms so I'm not worried about those, it's the drive line that is poop! I have ran one tank of fuel without breaking something, just think what would happen if I put the .28 in it!

I order new cv axle and a new body for it...I think it will hit eBay before long.

hmmm. Don't know what to really say. I got mine used and it was beat just like my savage. Have ou considered trying to upgrade the axles to the LST 2? They say ithey are are better.

You know I hear good and bad about the lst. My neighbor has one and i was going to buy it off him but then he admitted to me that it has a problem with the servos twitching on him. And to top that he keeps going threw transmission gears.

sounds like alot of bad luck I kick the poop out of mine and have had no major problems with it yet ps the battery packs are not sealed very good I'm on my second one tapped the poop out of it:mex: :mex:

The tranny gears are the strongest looking part of the truck IMO...All steel gears!

If I decide to keep it I'll look into the LST 2 shafts

Weird. I've never had that amount trouble with my LST. Not even when I had LST1 axles on it.

If you're lucky you can get all for corners upgraded to LST2 specs quite cheaply on eBay. I got lucky once and only spent 50$ on that upgrade.

Hope you have better luck with.
