hi,
i have installed a new thunder tiger .28 engine on it. When i started with the break in process ,i faced a problem.
The engine starts only after i hit more then half throttle.(CARB OPENS TO 1/2.)
The engine dies immediatey if the throttle is less then 1/2 throttle.
Now if i run the engine more then half the throttle for 2 to 3 mins the engine temps rises to 200F, which i guess is not the ideal temperature.(HSN IS 3.5 TURNS OPEN)
what needle adjustment should i do?
The ideal screw is set in such a way that when full breaks are applied the carb is open to 1.5mm.
can an air leak in the carb be a problem to this?

Your LSN is probably too rich. I'm breaking in a new engine as well and that was the first thing I struggled with... just wouldn't start. Put your HSN at the factory setting and lean out your LSN a litle at a time until it will start up and idle consistantly.

lst2 thunder tiger engine prob

Try richening the low end needle 2 turns or more(counterclockwise)sounds like it not getting fuel on the low end (idle) hope this helps.also make sure your clutch isnt draging..:):)
