Looking for a good place to mount my personal in my LSP. It comes with a nice little mount that would screw into the servo deck but it sticks out way to far for the body to go over it. Looking for some ideas. I guess I can get an extension cable for it but stock I don't have much to work with.

I assume LSP as in Lightning Stadium Pro right??

Do you not have this part?

Yes it's the lightning stadium pro. The Pro-R comes with a parts tree similar to that but there's some differences the link you posted is for the lightning buggy parts tree. The PT mount I have only mounts in one place I can see and it sticks out waaaaaay to far. Probably going to mount it on top of the deck for now.

I've just got a LSP and looked at where to mount my PT and came up with the exact same problem as JetMech did.....

Just goes to show how helpful the search button can be.

I've just got a LSP and looked at where to mount my PT and came up with the exact same problem as JetMech did.....searched for Transponder and LSP...and got this thread....that I'd already replied to!!!

JetMech how did you get around it 'cos I have the same problem you did and my advice on your thread sucked (sorry about that!). I thinking I might just drill 2 holes in the lid of the radio box as I still have the plastic mount itself..

I mounted it with servo tape on top of the radio tray above the steering servo. I also got rid of it shortly there after.

I know this is an older thread but I have now changed my PT mount to a DURATRAX($2.00) mount to my center diff top plate, I did have to use a servo extension though.

A personal mounted to a windshield?? I used to do that for the "house" transponders...
ditto
the DURATRAX mount kit also came with a choice of either a personal mount or a loaner mount--so I have a few loaner mounts now and no use for them--but maybe some lucky person will get them at the track.
