SO is there a way to get a limited slip effect with the exceed madfire buggies? its 4x4 but I know with my vxl rustler I was able to add a #6 slit washer inside the diff and heavy grease made it act like a locked / lsd. is there a way that something like that can be achieved here. what have some of you other guys done?

About the diffs, you can easily lock them, just glue them up- quiet a few drag racers/drifters do this, and you could make them limited slip by putting slightly thicker oil inside- but this would affect the way the car corners and drives. Why is it that you want to stiffen them up?

just to let you know,@Rolex prefers carnauba wax to LSD, gives a better effect apparently.

for the traction and straighter takoffs. sand dunes and bashing. I found withmy rustler it helps but these diffs are diff erent ha

I don't necessarily want them locked. with my rustler, the lock washer helped with traction I know you can get a spool for the rustler too so you can lock it and take it out when you don't want it locked. what have some of you guys done? FOFF have both front and rear locked for hill climbing

Personally I don't have an exceed mad fire. I doubt it'll have any advanced tuning options due to being a lower end model- but lots of fun can still be had out of it :)

I know its lower quality but that just means it will be a sleeper

Not necessarily- it means that generally, parts are lower grade, they brake more easily and don't have as many tuning options as other vehicles like the rustler do, like the locking pin- the only non permanent way your going to achieve a stiffer diff with less slip would be to use thicker oils- you can always change the oil later on. This locking mechanism may be specific to traxxas vehicles :)

hmm I might go with heavy grease then. however I did build a mean duratrax evader. it turned out alright. I actually preferred it over my rustler

Make sure you get some videos of it up and running in the media section once you're done :)
