Hello All,

i have a small question ,
Took my Savage out tonight for a little bashing and it didn't run well so i turned the needles back to factory setting.
Drove for a while and didn't really feel like it was driving well so HSN in about 1/8 of a turn , was a little better but still not good.
Then i took the temp 170 degrees centigrade about 330 F ??????????????
Big shock, quickly shut down and went home.
Does any one here have a clue what the problem might be????
Gearing is 18/49 and i didn't have a body on it.
Fuel is Tornado 20% , didn't have probs earlier .

If it was ok before and you didn't change anything, it could be fun figuring it out. A few things you can check that can make it run hot are:

Clogged Air Filter
Restricted Exhaust
Dirt in Fuel Tank/ Line/ Carb
Glow PLug

Also, a problem I just had with my Nitro Sport, the one-way bearing was not releasing after engine started causing a drag on the roto start gears. Made it get super hot real quick. Good Luck!

Check your back plate, head and carb for air leaks...
Did you seal them with high temp RVT?
To check them use WD40...Spray it around those areas while it running....your mill will rev up if there is an air leak.In any of those areas..

i had the same problem with my nosram rs.28 same engine rebadged i'm almost sure its an air leak mine was on the backplate also if you run the s-25 manifold you may want to chack and see if theres any fuel spitting from between the engine and manifold i put the seal from the s-25 on and 2 springs and it sorted it
