Hi guys, i got my new z.28 spec 3 installed in my savage x today, i had just put on a new HPI polished pipe, so that's on now for the time being, my LHS had some new HOT BODIES pipes in, i have considered getting one is there a difference? also, i have been looking at the ofna pipes, i was wondering if the ofna 086 and the ofna jp3 would be very hard to fit on my savage, do they require any modification? any input would greatly be appreciated. kdogg:whhooo:

^ ofna should be a bolt in exhaust. Haven't read anything about the install yet. (been searching for pipes)

if some of the exhaust are for the left side of the truck, how hard will it be to fit them to the right side of the savage x? kdogg

both the ofna 086 and jp3 perform good on any mill. They both will fit but your back pressure nipple will be right on the tvp.

just wondering if the HPI polished and the Hot Bodies Aluminum Tuned pipe are the same, my local hobbyshop said they were. but someone else told me the hot bodies is a better pipe, what do you guys think? kdogg

I want to know how you like that engine when you get it all broke in and stuff. My Savage needs a new engine and this is one that I was thinking about getting.

GREAT NEWS! Today was the first time i got to fire up the new mill, it started almost immediately and i ran two tanks through it, i'll be finishing the break-in tomorrow, i'm running 20% in it but according to the instructions you can run 36% in this engine, i may increase the nitro later. my L.H.S. only stocks 20% so i'd have to have him order it. Is there much of a power gain in goning from 20% yo 36% or something close? and also i'll definately give you the full report when i get it broken -in and can safely hammer the throttle. Just first impressions but this thing sure sounds wicked, the hpi polished pipe has a nice "KICK-BUT" sound to it. more later guys. kdogg

Kdogg your going to like that mill! If your Savage doesn't have a wheelie bar you need to get one :D.......I don't think you will see any difference from the HPI polished pipe and the HB pipe.

It's a beast! Heres a little vid on my old Aftershock with the same engine, the Aftershock is just as heavy as a Savage.

hey, i finished breaking in the new mill today. due to running out of nitro i only had a chance to drive it for a couple of tanks, but man am i impressed! when the truck changed gears it would pull the front wheels up. man it was cool! this new engine is one bad cat! the power is awesome. I would highly recomend the LRP z.28 SPEC 3 TO ANYONE looking for a new motor for their ride. due to my surgery tomorrow it may be a while before i can get back out and really spend some time with it but so far it's worth every penny! say a prayer for me and my family and i'll post again as soon as i'm able. kdogg
