Bout to start on new savage x project. Wit with lrp .30 in my first savage x and loved it, wanna make this next one different so I been thinking bout using the nova .28. What gone
Be my biggest difference in performance and am I losing or gaining power and speed. I'm mostly a backyard basher who drags n the street a lil

For me, try another LRP engine. Try LRP zr30x competition. I am a LRP engine big fan. I've got 3 LRP engine different sizes and all of them they never failed me. And I always say this words.

lrp 30 come pullstart also

i would get a novarossi. i am breaking one in now andd it by far outdoes my lrp32. better quality, better workmanship, like the picco

can't use the lrp .30 competion in a monster truck its bump start I think

u can actually make the 30x pull start or spin start with a 20.00 backplate.. seen it done.. the 30x has better rpms as well i believe.. I'm an lrp fan as well. wont run anything else

yap, you can change the back plate of of LRP zr 30 competition to a back plate of LRPzr30pec2 plus the pull start. Feel the difference... this competition engine of LRP 30 even the timing, the bottom head design the carb is different from LRPzr30 spec2 pullstart but you can fixed.

Lrps are stump pullers. Ask any lrp owner they will tell ya to get one lol.

Yep I love my LRP.32 Spec .2 in Savage XL. Best engine I have ever owned. I had the .30 both are excellent engines for the price.

i got a LRP spec2 .30 in my XL and I love it. I've never ran a Nova block, but i can say this. I have run many ofna blocks, including piccos. I've also ran OS blocks, and many of the hpi blocks. Overall I like LRP the best. (for bashing) If you have the money to spend get a modded SH .28, which is exactly the same as the LRP .28 spec3, and get it modded with ERCM. Shoot a message over to llcoolskillet, he knows his engines.

Well thanks everyone for the advice, couldnt resist the lrp .32 this time bout to start dropping her in now. can't wait to see the difference since my other savage x already has the lrp .30 spec 2. Any other advice or tips will b well appreciated also.

Do you guys think the lrP 32 is too much for a stock savage x 4.6? Not the 2011 model the one before? I want to upgrade the 4.6. I was thInkin either the 28 30 or 32

Since you want something new for you savage X? Put a LRP Z28R spec3 and change the transmission to 3 speed the one in savage xl. Cause I had 1 friend he got this same project and it runs very fast. cause in my savage X I've so many experiment and am happy with it. since this is only a hobby for me so explore with it.

A +50 to what snookman said.....ya shoulda got a novarossi! novas are top notch italian motors. quality parts, quality craftsmanship. eh, from what i gather on forums-with a LRP you may be getting a SH,nosram, losi, or LRP(hehe depending on the color of the cooling head) they are all made with the same parts in the same factory!

my truck lineup is as follows

XL/LRP32...XL/novarossi 28...X/picco 28...X/losi454...X/SH 28..X/F46...3/4 breed X with 25 frameplates and skidplates/ S25 now but have a ofna 28 available and another new F46

they all new motors except the SH and .25 and i run 30% nitrotane fuel. the nova is best motor so far followed by the picco, LRP, losi and F46 a tie, and the SH! although the losi motor ran like no other during breakin...wanted to do wheelies right from the git-go but had alot of problems at first with that motor and Chassis.

the lrp engine are great i got the .28 in my truggy and it goes hard but i think the nosram .30 looks like a beast i think the .28 nosram put out 4.21 hp! so the .30 must be a monster so if you get the time check out the website i would have a quick squizz
