Ok here's the deal....I'm broke, moneys tight right now. I'm wondering if there's any way I can lower my Tmaxx from stock. I will be ordering new a-arms n stuff later. But for now, how canon get this to sit a little lower? The top of my shock is in the furthest hole out. There's 3 settings, its in the outside hole. The bottom screw is in the second hole from the inside. There's 4 settings here. Also, can I remove some of my spacers on my shocks? Will this lower it a bit? More upgrades coming later. Any good stock ideas? Thanx.

You can move the lower shocks to the furthest mounts closest to the wheel and remove the spacers on the springs. It think it dropped mine about an inch or so! I added a sway bar also haven't flipped it since.

Cool, what about the top holes? Should bring them all the way in? And you're saying take all the spacers out n run it like that? If that's the case, ill try it. Thanx for the info.

If I wasn't on crutches I would go drag it out of the garage and take some pics. I can't remember where I moved the top ones too. I know I moved the bottom all the way out. I didn't remove all the spacers just the big one. My truck had three spacers on each shock not sure if all of them do or not. glad to help.

The best I could do with no money. Lol. After a couple hours and some screw and Allen wrench dropping, I managed to lower it about a half to a whole inch. Just moved the shocks to the outer settings and took some spacers out. My springs are a,little bit more "spongy" than id like to have them. But here's the outcome.

i would move the bottoms all the way out the one closest to the wheel and the top all the way to the highest hole on the tower

Thanx nitro. I just put my engine back in and she sags a little. I think I might have took out too many spacers. Any idea how I can stiffen my shocks up? I don't know if I dare to jump this thing. It's not as stiff in the shocks as it was.

well instead of re-using the spacers, change out the shock oil weight to a stiffer weight which is the best way to adjust the stiffness. Also you can get stiffer springs if you dont want to mess with the shock oil.

Yea, I'm real impatient. Lol. Don't feel like waiting for parts. My lhs is 2 hours away. Me n some guys are getting together tomorrow to do some on-road racing. So, just to get by, adding just a few more spacers back in should do the trick....right? Thanx for the info. I'm learning alot on this site.

well for on road racing with such a big truck you don't want the truck too stiff because that will cause it to flip over a lot easier. If the truck is looser and the shocks can move a bit, the truck will take more bumps and sway more causing it to have much better handling. And keeping it low like you have it right now is another good thing for on road racing.

Cool, once again, thanx. I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome. The only thing that Su@$s is, I'm not always running on-road. So ill have to change my adjustment for off-road? I'll check it in the dirt, she should run ok.

yea no problem, glad to help out someone else. And it depends on how soft it is right now, you may be fine in the dirt.

get some zip ties and go around 3-4 wires on each side of the shock, then pull them down. sometimes the zip tie will drag on the shock body, but it doesn't seam to hurt anything
