How many times do you have to crash to get that good? Awesome!


That really depends on how good your engine is. He's obviously flying a 4 cycle engine, that gets maybe 60-70% of max poweroutput @ the hover.
Training for the german aerobatics competitions we frequently saw a guy show up with a Sukhoi, his speciality is low, slow motion aerobatics. It's looking sick, but totally safe. Also during the video he's using his fuel wisely, being alerted by a stopwatch that beeps. No question this guy is good, but it's not really that hard. Controlling your rudder, knowing at which point what happens aerodynamically is everything. I'm quite sure he does.
