This guy I know is selling a red cat racing buggy but the motor has low compression I can probably get it cheap but can you fix a motor with low compression or do i need a new piston and sleeve?

And if it needs a piston and sleeve, it probably needs bearings and a new rod as well. No sense only doing half the job because if the worn parts do fail they will take the new parts with them.

Good point the new engine idea is better tho haha

+1 run it for now if it will run, buy a whole new engine.
