LOST 4-Wheel Drive!!!!! (My nightmare)

Just purchased E-Bay T-Maxx... So i am learning as fast as i can...

Unpack..Tried to start ....NoGo!!...Took to LHS... guy starts it w/glow plug starter.....tells me i need one ....I buy best one he has...He drives in parking lot 30 sec. ...Steering servo will not turn right %50 of the time....twiching, he calls it..Servo is JR dz8550 ...Best JR servo. Reccomends i send back and see if they will fix or warranty. I take home and change Servo to stock. 1st tank of gas. VERY COOL....not real fast..but very cool....Hooked ...2 more tanks...thing is beat...Hit jumps of 1.5' MAXX. Lots of little rocks 1" - 2". and DUST. Clean with complete bottle of Nitro cleaner (All over including Servos)..Ooops.. I know now..Never Electronics...Perform after Run to the T (except use pranther oil)......... Thanksgiving........... break out new toy for Family....Do 2 pavement high speed passes with stock tires and its off to climb dirt hill....Brother notices only front wheels moving and not climbing well. dies for its 3rd time in 8 mins. Examine bottom ..roll front wheels and back Wheels only move a little..... more on right side. ReStart ...now i have to push it to get going then it goes but now even slower (%20) ...... Did i break it or was it allready broken???? WHAT is Wrong. all drive line move except from differential to rear wheels...they grab %20 of time....Rear Differential problem?????

Last question...if it is broken what are the best parts to fix it so it will never happen again......Supermaxx.....HCR.......Kippster.. What other driveline enhancements are there.. any must dos?

the first thing i would look at is the flywheel and clutch setup there too. i've seen instances that sound a lot like what happend to yours do that (well not the loss of 4wd) but the loss of power. good luck

Check your diffs for your 4 wheel problem. You might have stripped a gear or there are 4 little screws in side, they might have broke as well.

I would start by checking the clutch and the spur gear. Work your way out from there

Typically when the diffs are shot, you will hear a clicking/ratcheting noise when landing jumps or under hard accelleration. Not all the time but it is fairly consistant.

happend 2 me! ...only front weels work right...
check the drive train and cvd's on of mine broke in the rear so i had only front weel drive
not to expensive 2 replace but go alumminum:fro:
