Tonight my brothers friend got a new Losi XXX-NT statium truck. Well tonight I went with him to his appartment complex to start break in. While he was driving in a oval I was cruzin in with my Rustler. Well it was dark hard to see and I collided with him and it broke the arm right off. What are some good arms to use? Links please thanks.

the only arms I have seen for the xxx-nts are the stock ones or the graphite. I have looked high and low for differnt arms and have come up empty handed. I run graphite on mine ,but I plan on racing mine. I would like to see rpm put some out so I could put them one my sons truck, I know this is no help so I will shut up now. If you find something I didn't please let me know.

Ok I am assuming its a RTR if so the plastic is not the same as that which comes from the TL headquarters in Cali. It is instead a more economical plastic blend. What he needs it to simply replace the arms with stock TL part # Tl part #1116 There is no need to run graphite on a RTR. Now to help prevent arm brakeage in the future when he installs his new arms he needs to buy a Rpm Front bumper #73602 That should help aliviate his arm brakage issues.

When I bought my xxx-nt I got a RPM bumper the first day I drove it and I never broke an arm a guy that I raced with that had one broke 2 arm the first day he drove it I told him to go in the hobby store there at the track and get a RPM bumper and to my knowledge he has never broken another front arm.

I would also suggest that as an uprade for you on your Rusty the RPM bummper in my experince are worth their weight in GOLD..
Here is the Rusty bumper RPM # 81162

Nice part about this truck is you dont really need anything beyond stock. Which is moreso the reason you wont find too many hopups so to speak. The Drake edition is all graphite, and trust me, it treats me VERY well. The only thing I have ever broken on my XXX-NT is the diff screw and the battery box. I have since upgraded to a Ti diff nut by HG as well as the bullet proof battery box by Native Racing.

I even have the RRP diff gear and havent had to use it yet. People said that they stripped a lot of diffs. I say, they dont know how to keep them tightened properly.

I also have the RPM front bumper and that may or may not contribute to no broken arms. No idea. I liked it for the long jumps we put it through in the summer. It took a beating and just kept on going

can't wait for the warmer days........

Stay stock!

Thanks guys big help. The stock ones are pretty cheap only like 7 bucks so I don't feel that bad:hehe: but I'm giving him some tools and after-run oil. So were even lol.

Here is a pic of the bumper who ever wants to see it sence Stormer don't have one. Here

I havn't had any problems yet so I won't upgrade yet. My next purchace for my rustler is Big Bores:naughty:

Ill have pics up tomarrow in the gallery!

huh I never thought of a bumper saving the arms I will have to get one for my sons truck.

Pictures are now uploaded into the gallery take a look:hehe:

Well today I found out that when we crashed it broke the shock tower in every corner.
Rustler vs. Dead stop collison equals broke losi

Translation TL race qaulity truck in to Brick equals busted race truck....X

J/K I bet your little buddy nitroboy would blow another gasket after reading that. Of course that would be if he wasn't banned and could read this. Yeah I bet he could have gotten to 50 over that... :)

You feel how you feel about the rustler I don't really give a poop lol He was just helping me but X do you know of any good springs for big bores since they don't come with any

Hammad Gruhman (spelling?) www.1HG.com . I had to have the LHS order the parts for me. They may still have a diff nut. To me this was one of the most important upgrades I did. Especially after having them strip, come loose or just plain snap!

The shocks were the Adam Drake kit shocks. However, the spring cups and spring retainers are also made by HG.

They make some VERY nice stuff. Just hard to buy and hard to navigate their website.

Are you going to order and thing? So I can break it again:ha

I'm not going to order anything but up at dirt burners they have a ti diff nut I'm going to go pick that up but you wont be able to break what you can't catch:D

Does anyone else know of any other companies that have xxxnt parts to customize my truck

Robinson Racing makes an alloy diff and Acer makes some serious bearrings. Tires are more or less Losi or ProLine 2.2 but the rims have to be Losi or RPM. I dont think anyone else makes a rim but I could be wrong. MIP has CVD's for you and the number of pipes are pretty much by anyone who makes aftermarket pipes. I like the Adam Drake pipe the best (too bad X wouldnt sell me a spare hehe). Native Racing makes a couple of hopups but the one I like is the battery box. The upperdeck is too much to spend for me to see any bennefit. Losi makes all the graphite parts you could need for most anything else.

Ill post more as I think of it........
