Has anyone installed the forward only trans kit on there losi lst. If so how do you like it? I just got mine today and want to install it. i was wondering how it is. How hard is it to install and how long did it take. The reason i m doing it is because it reduces the drive train weight and increases the reliability. i hear there are some problems with the gear selector switches going bad in them. i hardly ever use low gear and reverse anyway. so i might as well reduce rotating mass.:)

I have it already in mine. I just serviced mine. The kit was already in it when I bought it used. I have got to say that comparing it to my Bro's stock LST , there is a BIG difference in acceleration. As far as the Hi Lo gear selector, if you want to upgrade this to the LST2 type selector, I hear it is much better. I have the TiNi gear sets for it too but I want to run my stock gear set up till I need to replace them. If you do consider replacing any worn out bearings in the tranny. With the stock tranny, I beleive there are close to 20 bearings. clean, lube and if needed replace them. Your tranny will love you for it.

wheres the best place to get bearings?

thanks for the reply where is the best place to get the bearings? i got a complet set of replacement ball bearing for my savage. Dose any one sell a kit for the LST? or do i have to buy them seperately?
