Losi dbxl 2.0 no brakes!! Help

Just opened box read manual put in some fresh batteries drive my losi dbxl 2.0 down my driveway no brakes at all .I tried calibrating esc still no luck all functions work except no brakes any ideas??

Thanks for responding this whole experience is annoying right out of the box and buggy has issues
