Just got it and finished teh break in with 3 tanks of gas. Anyway I'm about to take it out and every time I brake the truck it dies. I removed the air cleaner to check the carb gap everytime I brake, there was none is this right? How can I adjust this? And what it the right adjustment for the high end and low end of the card after break in?

Thanks

I would run a couple more tanks through the engine just to be sure on the break in. when you brake there is supposed to be a 1/32" to 1/16" gap adjust the carb. I do not have a XXXnt so I could not tell you how many turns the low or high end should be but it should be to the point where it runs at a smooth idle and does not run to hot.

On my carberator you can adjust the opening at brake and idle wit h a small screw on the right edge that has a little spring underneath to prevent the screw from loosening. I dont have a lossi though so this might not help.

What you have described is an incorrectly set idle adjustment screw. U will see a small screw coming out of the carb. Turn this screw clockwise with the air filter off untill u see the carb open up to exactly 1mm. do this with the radio on and the brakes applied. once done, release the brake and most likely the carb will open some more. dial back the throttle/brake trim until the carb stops closing. u will now have the carb set perfectly. good luck, and if u have any difficulty let me know, and i will try to post some diagrams.

Thanks I got it. ...I got another question...what is the right low end adjust for the carb, cause my friend played with it now we can't get it back to stock...thanks

I think thats the LS needle you are talking about. Read the manuel it tells you gobbles of things.

nald91- congrats on fixing the idle set screw. The low speed needle should be turned 2 turns out from fully closed. below is a scren shot of the tuning instructions for the xxx-nt sport RTR
