Hello everyone I am looking to get a new exhaust for my 4908 3.3 tmaxx mostly stock curious if anybody knows of a good aftermarket pipe with decent performance I've heard the rd logic ones hurt the performance any advice would be awesome thanks

rd logics it does NOT ruin the engine, however you do need to retune to keep the performance , but it IS loud. iam getting ready to make a straight pipe

when makig a straight pipe dont you have to worry about backpressure with it being 2 stroke basically

Tuned refers to the frequency the pipe produces, which pulsates with engine rpm to help expel exhaust. Straight pipes and other home made exhausts have been tried and debated countless times. They don't work unless you know what your doing.

yes back pressure. my plan is to use the short pipe off the engine from the rd logic. then use 4-5 inch long 1/2 dia copper pipe with a 1/4 inch washer brazed on the end. that way the washer will send a pressure wave back, like the oem pipes. now the thing is i have not done it yet. so i dont know if it will work or not. well matt you can be sure i DONT know what iam doing. it may fail really big, it might kind of work, or it might work good enough. i am VERY sure it wont work very good. back in the dark ages i worked in an experimental shop building trenchers. once we built a machine, that was realy bad. my boss said will now we know what doesn't work, we are that much closer to what does wok.
