Hey guys i'm currently looking for a revo, but i don't know wether to take it electric or nitro, considering i'll be using it in snow, what would be better ? and is it risky to buy those used ? what should i look for if i'm inspecting an used one ?

Hello there,

Where are you in Quebec? I am in Laval, you can go with both, I have the nitro and it's brother the e-revo. Tuning is a bit harder in winter but still fun to bash in the snow. Electric does have one advantage of just charge the battery and go. Like I said I use both, but I do love the sound and smell of a nitro zooming past at full speed :)

For snow use you should get the brushed electric version.
There's nothing wrong with used but you have to be careful and always assume the engine/ motor/ esc/ is junk in regards to pricing.

Thank you for your answers, however, i went to the rc shop nearby, and found out they didn't held revo parts, the only truck that they have all the pieces in stock was the t-maxx, so i went with this one. This way i won't have to wait 1 week everytime i break something. And i'm from saguenay, way up north from laval.
