looking at trucks

i am looking at buying a truck 4x4 like fg, or mcd? does any have revers? also what onhe would you buy i dont want to spend to much but i dont like my tmaxx anymore. also i would like it to be like the tmaxx off the ground a bit.

hey. are you set on a mt? couse if your not then maybe you should look at the 5b. hpi parts are redilly available unlike fg and mcd. depending on were you live. a 4wd mcd starts at like $1200. you said you didnt want to spend too much.. you can land an rtr baja ,new for bout $825. the baja also out handle the fg buy a mile.. keep in mind i dont own an fg, but i do like them. i just like the baja better as i have one.. no..they do not have reverse. but thats not important..you said you want a high stance truck like the fg's.. the baja is actually bigger then an fg. it longer by i think about 4" and stands only about 1.5" lower.. the baja is top choice and i think all around better.. your bord with the t-max?? well you wont get bord with a 2stroke. 45 min run times. little to no tuning. you can go out for a 2hr bash with just your rig..no pit box.. it is alot cheaper then running nitro, thats for sure..

Buying a FG or MCD and not wanting to spend too much do not go together. If you break something, parts are expensive and can be difficult to get.

You should consider the Baja 5B as suggested above.

yeap just as rob said, if you get fg or mcd, you WILL spend plenty of money, especially with a 4WD. However you can get the baja for less, have way more aftermarket parts available for cheap, and the baja is getting more and more popular everyday, so more stuff is constantly being developed.

bonus, DDM is now carrying FG parts. MCD parts are available stateside too thru LargeScaleRC i think it is.

and yes, cheap and any 1/5 (excluding the clones for start up cost only) dont go hand in hand. just like these things dont mix well: oil/water Miltary/Intelligence PrezBush/Good President PrezBush/Oil Profits (sorry that one makes perfect sence. lol)

they all have their use/abuse level. i guess i would ask exactly what are you looking to do, where and how do you want to run. and no, no gassers have reverse unless its a one off mod by the owner.
