I finally got my buggy put together and ready to fire up. This thing is bad ass! It’s a custom built buggy using parts from WRC, Mugen, and HB racing.
He included everything except the motor, servos, , and electronics. And had everything assembled. This is a first one for me in a couple ways.
I never had a nitro buggy before. And, I never bought but one rtr in good enough shape to run it. In other words, all my RC’s are rigs I gotta do a lot of wrenching on. Except this one.
I must admit, I like it a lot when it goes like this. I consumed three ice cold coors banquets while getting it finished. Took probably an hour. But, I was enjoying it. Most enjoyable nitro rc experience I’ve ever had with a new used nitro.
His attention to details is impressive. His companies name is Underdog RC Racing. He builds great RC. Everything needed to get this car running he included. I had to do nothing. The servo linkages, everything. For way less than any buggy in its class. This isn’t a friend who opened up a business. This is a guy I started doing business with for everything from clutch and motor bearings to modified motors, to a custom rc build with excellent wrenching and attention to detail. Makes me commit to being better at doing it myself next time.
Anyways, I’m waiting on a new Racers Edge starter box. Supposed to be here Saturday. Looking to start breaking it in Sunday. Should get a couple quarts through it. Plenty enough to be putting it to it on the tune. Yeah!!!!
Gotta cut the head hole bigger. Waiting on razor scalpels for that.
