is there something else to use on aluminum to aluminum threads like silicone or something else?i have two screws that will not stay in every time i drive it works its way out.my only choice is to tap and re thread but i really dont want to do that unless its my only choice. is the red loctite any better?

I use red for those way pesky screws. Just remember, You may not get them out again. Red is like glue you can loosen them but you run the risk of striping the head first.

so the red works better than the blue.if it strip it out i have the screw out.i would rather put new screws in every time i take it apart than every time i run it.

I like blue cause you can remove it. Sometimes the red stuff stays on forever.

You can also use THICK CA glue. You will still be able to get it out. Green LokTite also, but its tougher to remove.

tried the ca it worked but don't know about removing it.it's holding so dont want to push my luck until i tear it down.

imnotsure - i use the CA trick on my diff screws for the NTC3, they like to wiggle out easily. So far it has worked great for me, and isnt too difficult to remove. just dont use a crappy allen wrench, or u will strip the head.

I have a question about the loctite, I installed the HB jump-start and the original screws are too short and I did'nt get any with the kit so I put some in that I had around, but they are constantly loose( like every time) so I loctited them and still loose, does anyone know the exact size of these screws? and what color LT do you recommend.
