Has anyone locked their savage diffs w/ JB weld, if not wow its works just as good if not better than the gpm or maximizer lock out and cheaper, I used 100000 weight silicone in the rear of my lst but I think I'm gonna lock it to and run 30000 in the front!

How's it holding up? How does the truck drive with the diffs locked? I've been thinking about a locker in my rear diff and a L/S up front.

Its great much better traction all around and it helps a lot when climbing or pulling, and dont lock the front it will be harder to turn my radius!

No, front shoud be open or L/S, that way the rear can slide around turns.

Locking Savage diffs has been known to be very hard on drive train components. It is common to twist and break dog bones. Just be careful if you lock them up.

Good point! Does the use of the heavier weight oil help them to act as a Limited Slip?

Corrrect! 100,000 WT will almost seem like its locked, but will allow for some slippage to help prevent breakage. I'd go with this IMO.

Your welcome. Just remember if you decide to lock or make your front diff LS, your turning radius will be increased. If you are only bashing you may not mind.

i locked the rear diff on my savage then my breaks went a bit odd locking the rear up adjusting them made no difference might have just been a co-incidence
