Locking Gearbox

How can i lock the 2 speed automatic gearbox into first in my HSP Warhead? If I can what are the chances of blowing the engine?

It should have an adjustment screw in the centrifugal hub that you can adjust. If you adjust it out far enough it will no longer shift into second and will remain in first gear until you readjust it.

As for blowing your motor it will not make it any more or less likely. Most 1/8 scales are single speed with a single diff anyway. If you are holding the throttle wide open for more than 5-6 seconds it doesn't matter what gear you are in you are still risking the engine.

Thanks. I might just need to adjust it so it changes gear later because when it goes into second the engine nearly dies. This might also be that its not tuned right either
