how do i locate the a local hobby shop? i can't find one anywhere and no one seems to know how to get to any. any place i can type in my area code and find the closest one?

The Yellow Pages are always a good place to start. Try under the heading "hobbies".

Having grown up in new england, I know that you can drive in any direction for an hour and pretty much cover the state of MASS.

Most magazines have locations of hobby stores in each state. Get a mag and check, Radio Control Car Action has this I know forsure.

Yup, got the list from the latest issue of RC Car Action. The track directory is provided by Proline and you can see it at www.rccaraction.com and look under track directory.
