Here's an abbreviated version of the Knoxville restaurant review along with a viewer's comment, below.

:hehe: Knoxville restaurant scores in the low 50s on health inspection

Los Lagos received a 52 for roaches, flies and food temperatures.

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Fruit flies and cockroaches are not the kind of company you want to keep when you're dining out, but that's what health inspectors came across on their recent sweep of local restaurants.

Just two area restaurants fell below the passing mark of 70 this week.
Lowest Score:

San Juan de Los Lagos Bar and Grill, 703 Cherry Street - Grade: 52

There were fruit flies at the hot water heater in the bar area and a live cockroach was spotted in the bar area.

Refried beans, beef and sour cream were being stored at 64 degrees. That is too warm. The inspector notes 50 pounds had to be thrown out by management.

We also saw a dog licking his balls in the parking lot of San Juan de Los Lagos Bar and Grill

Sad part about it is if there is anything less than an A on the door, you don't want to eat there until they gt it back to an A

You are braver than I am bigbadwolf. Once you get that low, I don't care how well you make a come back. I ain't coming back.

I have eaten in places in other countries that you could not even put a grade on... screw it....only live once...or die once. Hydrate and eat up!

I will be damned if I am eating in a Restaraunt where a dog was licking his balls in the parking lot!!! :whhooo:

I don't ever want to know grades. If the food is good, I will eat it. What I don't know won't hurt me.

Have you eaten there Ralph?

Chicken (mystery meat) on a stick from a cart on the side of the road? Don't mind if I do. Time to put this free medical to use.

I prefer the Mojave Lizard-on-a-Stick franchise road-side shops. No crabs only "Robster."

I wonder if San Juan de Los Lagos Bar and Grill has Piss “O” Crab on the menu?
Not sure, but I'm pretty sure they Piss "o" Dog available as a beverage.

I never heard of it before. I never eat in places with Spanish or Indian names. I just don't like the food.

Me neither actually.

I don't know, I've got a couple of good Mexican restaurants in easy cycling distance for even this fat old man. I'd rather eat there than at some of the Asian places around here.
