It was a big concert thingy.. Something for world peace or something like that I think. I watched it for about 5 minutes whiule madonna was on stage (Hopin Id see a booby or something) but no luck.. So I turned it..

Oh that's retarded ... just looked it up. Started off as Live Aid though! if they wanted to do something different, they should've given it a completely different name. "Sir Bob Geldof" might have been given knighthood status, but he's a retard.

13th July 1985 saw the world sit up and take notice when rock stars from around the world held unique dual concerts in London and Philadelphia, which saw millions of people watching as Live Aid, called on people to take action to help the sufferers of the famine hitting Africa.

Live Aid raised over $100 million. But 20 years on poverty, famine and disease is still a major problem in Africa. The public have shown how important this is to them now it is time to get governments to act.

LIVE 8 is about justice not charity.

Its called Live8 because it was all timed for the G8 summit currently going on in Gleneagles, Scotland where the Bush, Blair, Chirac, Putin etc etc discuss.....stuff :shrug:
