What is the largest lipo the stock esc can handle...7.4 5000mah by 20c,30c or 40c? I am going to race it and want all I can get but don't want to cause any problems by doing so.

the stock esc will handle up to 9.6 volts so 8 cell Ni or 2 cell LiPo.
but most racing only allow 6cell / 2cell anyway as for the c rating or amps the motor is what calls for the amps the battery just lets it have what it takes, up to what the battery puts out.So any of those will be safe.
If your using the stock titan 12 turn thats like a 19 turn 540 brushed or a 13.5 brushless that call for about 25 to 30 amps continuous and peek about 55 amps so to get most of the speed out of your motor you want about 55 amps continuous from your battery to let the motor peek easy at about 55amps.
5000mah = 5ah so 5amps x 20c = 100amps
5000Mah 30c = 150amps..........40c 200amps
One of my batteries is 5200Mah 24c so 124.8amps
All that you listed have over 55amps you will only see a very very small increase with the 40c over the 20c
I have a 3.5 turn brushless that has 86amps cont. 120peek so I see a BIG differance from 100amps to 124.8 amp battery

Thanks for the response, I am new to electrics, been in nitro for 15+ years. I am just learning and that helps alot!
