I am looking into buying this LiPo, and I was just wondering what the "C" rating means? For example, it's 8000 mah 7.4V 2S 10C. Is that bad if the C rating is low? My current batterie's C rating is 40C, and I get pretty good performance out of it.

the C rating is the continueous power delivery rate, or how much power the pack can give at any given time. the larger the C rating, the more power it can give at any given time, the more speed/torque the motors can give continueously.

for a slash you should have a 20C constant minimum. these will have a 20c constant rating and a 30 to 40c burst rate (short shots of high power is the burst rate)

the new high power lipos are 40c with a 60c burst.

So, would you not recommend this battery for a Slash then? With that low of a C rating, it would lose a lot of power over time?

10c? i wouldnt use that at all.

Yeah I've been buying all mine from Hobbycity too. Just bought couple more 3s 5000 20c Turnigy packs for like $60.

I ordered mine sunday, they showed up today. 5 business days. Same as the last time I ordered.

mine took over 8 days:eek:...Ok another question how do I setup my ice charger for these?I never had a lipo before..I know I put it on lipo setting etc and 4000mah-7.4v etc but what about the charge rate and discharge rate etc? these batteries do not come with any instructions:(:(

Set the ICE to charge a 2S at a rate of 4.0 amps for a 7.4v 4000mah pack.

I would balance cheap lipo packs after every charge cycle and be sure to use a cutoff.

Here is some good information regarding lipos to read.
