Hey all,
I have the stock reciever in my truck, and like most of you know i had a plane and it came witha 7.4 1300 MAH lipo battery. I was wondering if i could use that in my reciever? I'm using a 6v hump pack right now but i wanted to switch since the charger for it broke! So, would the lipo work or would it fry it?

Also, i know the battery is like 2 in 1. Like theres 2 (i dont know what there called) like 2 cells ontop of each other. oNE of them has almost like a gel feeling to it. It looks like its compressed and looks like its about to blow. Is that suppost to be like that?

Anywho, in order to use a 2s lipo pack on your truck you’d need a voltage regulator 7.4 volts is too high for your receiver and servos. 6.0 volts max! Besides, with the weight of the lipo plus the regulator you’d be better off just using a 2600 maH 5 cell nimh.

Actually some receivers can handle the voltage from a 2S lipo pack such as spektrum and nomadio. The lipo pack has a much more gradual discharge curve and have a lower voltage drop under load than nimh, resulting in longer runtimes and higher power for the servos (Compared to a similar mah rated nimh pack).

So with the stock reciever thers no way to use it? BTW the battery is dead anyway. like theres no charge in it so would i still needa get if of?

Its weird thats it like under the compression. Cuz i didnt even use it. I used it once. And right now its not even charged. Dont they blow up when charging??? Not whne just laying around?
