Does anyone run lipo for there Rx? I would like to switch my rx over if its not a bad idea. Any info would be great

My only worry here is hard impacts, wouldn't want to see an xl go up in flames over a Rx battery. I just think the other alternatives are much safer. Anyone else thinking the same thing?

I had the same thought but i was thinkg i would glue some cut to fit foam pieces for the battery compartment. can't be any worse than ups. lol If you really think it could be dangerous for my Xl ill pass. I just thought it would be more snap to the servos and steering. Any ideas welcome.

I wouldn't worry about the lipo burning up the XL, have you seen the abuse electrics go through? The only thing to look out for is if you electronics can handle the power, you would have to have a rx that can handle 7.4v (I believe most can) along with servos. I think the servos are the main thing and the HV ones can be pretty pricey but can have some CRAZY torque.

I went with the Life 2S 6.6v Rx battery only 700mAh but at $3.25 a piece and there small enough i can stack 2 of them in my receiver tray. I'm going to check some run time and see how they do. There was also an 1100mAh Life battery $4.50 but it was out of stock.
