I posted this thread earlier in the wrong forum I think.. sorry.. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the lightning buggy? compatability of parts , bodies ect. any help would be appreciated.. I just got one the other day and it screams... Peace!!

There are a lot of hop-ups made by Hot Bodies that come with the Pro version of the Lightning.

Here is a parts list:

http://www.hotbodiesonline.net/lightparts.htm

You will see the "Pro" parts end in a "-1" or a "-2"

For example:

C8073 REAR SHOCK TOWER 6061 3mm (LIGHTNING SERIES)
C8073-1 REAR SHOCK TOWER 7075 3mm (LIGHTNING SERIES)
C8073-2 REAR SHOCK TOWER 7075 4mm (LIGHTNING SERIES)

C8073 is the one you got stock with the RR. C8073-1 is 7075 aluminium, but it's only 3mm thick.

The Lightning Pro comes with C8073-2 (4mm 7057 aluminium).

The hot bodies hop ups are going to be a direct fit while another companies parts may need some tweaking. I've read many kyosho parts are also a direct fit. The shocks, body, wing and wheels are a no brainer. I know the steering arms and many parts of the drive train including the diff gears from the inferno mp75 will fit.

If you can find the Hot Bodies Lightning Pro parts in stock, they will be cheaper than the kyosho parts, but every bit as good.

Congrats on the buggy purchase,
