the .28 is real nice........I have a .26 in my truggy and the .28 has a bit more torque than the .26
I need a complete set of spare turbo plus for the .28 since all my other engines are standard plug
the head even looks better than the .26

well considering I take care of my toys after a race since I do put money into them, why ruin an engine with dirt or the performance with old clumps of dirt if I put time and money into having it run good.....so I clean everything down after every use. The rubbed off paint marks on the body, can't do much about that but just put another sticker over the scars. As for the Lightning Pro 2 itself, I have only broken a wing and wing mount.
I like the wasp .28 as much as I like the wasp .26 I have. Both are great engines that have not failed me yet. Since I don't bash with the buggy and have only raced it a couple of times, I like both the Lightning Pro 2 and the Wasp .28.......no complaints on either one.

How long have you been running the .28 wasp?? Have you raced it yet? I have been contimplating that motor but have not known anyone that has run it.

I have only been running the .28 for about 3 weeks. I ws able to grab it from a LHS for $150 boxed new. At that cost, I had to just jump on the buy to see how it was.
The buggy is fairly still new and only raced a few times before outdoor season ended. One of the races was with the wasp .28 and placed 3rd in my main while those other experienced racers just had mechanical or engine problems and ended up bailing out of race. Now I am not a "A Main" racer since this is my actually first buggy after having nothing but trucks and touring cars but both the buggy and engine made me happy.
Someone just asked me, why I race with a .28 when it's not really race legal......my answer was.......Team Orion made this engine "race proven" so I am racing it on tracks that allows any size engines.
