I have a t-maxx 2.5 and I was wondering if the hot bodies lightning 10 engine would be a direct fit? Or if there is another engine that is better suitable for this truck.

The guy that I bought my truck from had already put a 3.3 in it. I got it and ran about five tanks of gas through it and now it has no commpression after it gets up to temp.
 
Sounds like it had overheated severely, and been run lean. Did you tune it to your weather conditions, or did he give it to you burnt out?
 
I tuned it in so that it ran good but still had a good stream of smoke. The highest temp I ever saw was a little over 260. When it quit for the first time it was only at 230.
