How long is the nitro fuel good for?
I have a bottle of it in the garage and am trying to sell my car and everyone keeps asking if it still runs.
I know it does, but i also have to be sure.
Anyone know how long fuel is good for?
Also, if I put bad fuel in, what kind of damage can it possibly do?
I know if there is bad fuel in a lawnmower, you just drain it, and start over.
but these little bad boys are a bit different.

Thanks friends!

How old is the fuel? How much is gone from the container? Methanol attracts moisture, but if it's been kept closed in a cool dry place it should be ok. The oil is still going to be in there no matter what, so I say give 'er a whirl. You may need a new glow plug though. Hopefully you oiled that engine for storage, and evacuated the fuel from the carb needles.:whhooo:

The fuel is roughly a year old. There is more than half of the bottle still in there. (I believe its a quart?) I thought maybe if it was bad that maybe there would be a visible separation?
I did NOT oil the engine for storage but definitely got all the fuel out before storage.
I will see what happens tomorrow after work lol

thanks for the input.

Good news: I put some nitro in the tank when i got home and it started right up! (didnt even have to charge my igniter)
Bad News: guy who was interested says he can find a brand new one for cheaper than my asking price.
eh. at least it brought back a smile to my face feeling it rumble on the table.
