Just found out Lewis Hamilton (F1 World Champion:first_place:) used to drive nitro RC and still does with his Dad. Seems theres a F1 Championship title out there for all of us. :buggy1:

Lewis Hamilton has been obsessed with all things speed related since he was a kid, and if he wasn't winning he wasn't happy, so I'll bet he used to be pretty handy at RC racing as well.

He did good, although he was astoundingly lucky, the UK is proud of the guy. He deserved it after all the crap that's been thrown at him this season.

There isn't an F1 world championship out there for everyone, but there is a dream out there for everyone to grab hold of. If you want to do something and you try your hardest, give it 100%, and never give in there's no reason why you can't achieve it, no matter how small that goal might be.

He did well this season. It wasn't what I expected. Points were all over, and the shoe-ins didn't exactly run as I thought. Kimi struggled. Hell, Robert Kubica actually had the points lead at one point.

So, when is the US actually going to field a F1 contender? It's a bit pathetic that we can't groom someone who can actually manage one of those cars.

And am I the only one who thinks that Felipe Massa sounds like Speedy Gonzales?

I'm just thrilled that Ferrari didn't win this one. I really hated how they seemed to be let of easy when everyone else would get the hammer for similar mistakes.

I like massa. I was pulling for him once it was obcious he was Ferraris number 1. That was about the most exciting final 3 laps I've ever seen outside of the 07 Pepsi 400. I'm very excited over my newest love of racing. C'mon '10 US GP!

Formula One would seem to be getting interesting again. I've paid a lot more attention to it this season than I ever did before, partly because of Hamilton and partly because stuff actually *happens*. It's still not a patch of World Superbikes but it's creeping up on MotoGP (the end of the MotoGP season was a yawn-fest). I haven't seen action like this since the days of Prost, Senna and Mansell. Even so, they need to cut the politics and BS surrounding the sport and stop touting it as a rich man's playground.

As for Massa, he would be a lot better if he learned to hold his head together more often. I remember Silverstone and him not being able to drive the car in a straight line all race in the rain :P

I dont thing you will see an American F1 contender ever. The best drivers tend to stay in the US and race NASCAR. If its got an engine and wheels Ill watch it but for my money I love to see the boys banging fenders and trading paint at 'Dega or Daytona. Go Jr. Go!!! :first_place:
