Ok. So I'm a noobie to Nitro so go easy on me. ;) I just got a T-Maxx 3.3 used from a guy I work with. I've been reading the manuals and support docs on line.

I checked the setup the guy had and it was actually stock, so I decided to trying and tune it.

My question is... after a hard pull I let off the throttle and it seem like the RPM get higher for a few seconds. Is this normal?

Also, I can ease into and quick pull for Full Throttle, but I can't run it at 0-50% throttle with out it sputtering and dying. Any thoughts?

Sounds like the needles are out of adjustment. I think it's a tad rich on the high needle and lean on the low. We could use more info though. Is it snappy off idle to full throttle? Does it rev high and shift well? After a full out run how long does it take before it gets back to low idle? Does it ever idle down?

What's the temp outside? You'll have to richen the high speed needle if it's cool out.

So it's been in the 60's out here in Arizona and rainy, but I was able to get back out today and make some more tuning runs. I took what you said and looks like you were right. :first_place: I leaned out the HSN and fatten up the LSN, so I'm now at HSN-3 and LSN- 2 1/8th. Still blowing blue and spitting some nitro( 20%) out in HS runs. It now seems to shift better and sooner and has stopped the higher rev after letting off the throttle.

It pretty good off the throttle, it doesn't stall or cut out.. but it's not pulling wheelies. :\

Don't be suprised about the wheelies, it can be done though. 3 turns out is way too lean on the high end. If it seems ok then the needle was probably turned in to hard at one time and the end is all goobered up. It should be fine, just make sure it's putting out plenty of smoke. The low needle should be set flush or a little out from flush with the body that it screws into. If it seems good, leave it real close to where it is now.
