Is it possible to somehow turn on LEDS from your radio?
I was just thinking I have an aux hook up on my reciever and a aux swith on my radio could I modify the light so that they get power from the aux hook up and I can turn them on whenever I want?

Soldering is not a problem for me I am pretty good at it if this would require that. Please tell me if you or somebody has done this. I did search for it and found nothing. So if you did this mod and it worked please tell me how you did it.

Thanks

I've been thinking about doing this with my onroad and the only way I I could come up with is to use a 3 channel setup.

You would need a third servo. (can be the smallest one you can find as you dont need any torque) Then get what is called a contact switch from radio shack. Then mod the electrics to turn on when the switch is closed.

You can also use the same idea of a contact switch to turn on brake lights when you hit the brakes. Just mount the contact switch near the throttle server so that when you apply the brake it also closes the switch.

While the ides sound simple, the hard part is finding mounting positions for everything and NOT hinder the performance of the car.

I have to agree with rob on this. You'd almost need a 3 channel setup or more depending on what kind of car/truck you have. That extra servo would activate the lights. Hit the switch, arm swings and connects with the button and turns the lights on.

I'm wondering if a 3 channel radio with MIXING would do the trick too. Providing you dont run reverse you could mix in the 3rd channel when the brake is applied for the reverse lights and the front running lights when it is powerred on. Sly's first link would be of GREAT assistance!

Msly the second link is also helpful that is the easy solution thanks.
