Yesterday I was running my buggy at the local park. I was trying to get it tuned due to the change of weather and I haven't ran my buggy in a while. Anyways, while I was making my adjustments I noticed that there is fuel around the LSN and dirt is starting to really stick to it. Does anyone know what it could be? Do I need a new carb? Or do I just need to change the dustboot on the throttle? Oops, forgot to mention that the engine is an XTM 24.7.

it'd possible that the rubber o-ring that seals the LSN has a chunk taken out of it. The best way to find out it to take the needle out. turn the needle counter clockwise until it falls out. Then inspect the place where it seals to the carb. you should be able to buy a new needle if that's the case.

it's also possible that you have it so far turned out that it's leaking fuel as it's about to fall out. That's kind of unlikely but possible.

Thanks, Rob. I'll go ahead and check that out today after work. Hopefully, it just needs a new o-ring or needle.

You were right Rob. I needed a new o-ring. The old one was smashed almost flat. I was going to just pick up a new needle, but I noticed that the needle didn't come with an o-ring. I was like WTF? So, I just picked up an o-ring for $3. I thought it was kinda pricey for a small ring. Oh well.

I have found over the years that you can buy really nice 100+ piece o-ring set that has just aboput any possible o-ring you could ever need for your RC stuff, paintball, automotive and just about anything you could imagine for around the house for like $15 at your LHS (not hobby, HARDWARE).

i'm glad that was your problem. $3 to make the R/C go again is cheap. :D

Problem still isn't fixed and still leaking. I changed the O-Ring on the LSN and it still leaks after a day of bashing. I noticed it when I was bashing that dirt would stick to the LSN and the dust boot. Do I need to get a new carb? Also, since I noticed the dirt around the LSN, would a rebuild need to be done?
