Ok just wanted to let you know. I was running the savage andnoticed that it would not brake well or accellerate well. I stopped and found my hexes on the rear right rim was stripped. It was that way when I got since it was used. I slapped on my new mashers and rims and it was like night and day. No wheelies...lol but it did hook up well. Wish I could do wheelies lol. I will play with the diffs.

But just so you guys and gals know, check your rims for warping when you notcie a drop in accelleration or traction!

HPI rims suck! I have two different sets of them, and they both stripped out. I emailed them letting them know of the problem, but no one ever even bothered to get back to me, great customer service huh?!?!?!

I am going to stick to Maximizer Bead locks. Pricey but damn strong.!!!! PM me the info and I will call HPI as they are local for me. LMK!!!

head you can jb weld the hexes in and there good as new.. dunno i got aluminum wheels and never looked back!!

I am not a big fan for aluminum especially on rims. One good ding and its ugly for life. I am sure its bling and cool but not my flavor.

well at the price i payed for them it wont be to bad.. i payd less for these then most do for plastic..

i had my wheels off and i could see that the hexes are starting to ware.
but i am geting some pro line 40 series wheels i have the tryes but not the wheels or the hexes yet had to pay all my money for a new engine so i have to save again now sould have a noth money before the summer bashing.

I may try on the new 23mm ones and get the adapters if this becomes a problem.

I'm running the 23mm hexes and cheyenne rims w/ big joes. work wonderfully. you can get the rims and 23mm hexes on e-bay for about $65 shipped. I'm working on getting some 23mm wabash rims and bow ties. you can paint the wabash rims your color of choice if you get the white rims.

I've never had a problem with the hexes on my maximer beadlocks, plastic or aluminum. I thought you were running the maximizers Jon?

i would recommend getting rid of the stock hex's, they are crap. look to get the HPI or HB clamp on hex's much stronger. i've had mine for over 6 gallons and NO warping or stripping. would also recommend tightening the hex locks every couple runs.

I am just on dirt. I have like 3 sets of tires and rims. The Maximizers have the mulchers. The mashers I like to use them for general use as well as the stock ones. The mulchers would get tore up on pavement. As far as the beadlocks, its the lip I worry about getting warped. I am sure the hexes are near bulletproof.

I like my Ti22 rims, havn't had any problems with them so far but I havn't really bashed the crap out of them yet either. I should be up and runnin again this weekend... just gotta get motivated to get wrenching again
