Lake Erie

Took a trip up to erie, pa this weekend to check out the lake. If you've never been there it's more like an ocean than a lake.. but, I took a few pics. If I can get them to load that is.. But me an the gf had a good time there. Went to their zoo as well. It's kind of small, but I've never been 2 feet away from a tiger cub before. It was cool to be up close to all the animals. She took the pictures of the zoo though, so I dont have those.

This one is us in the Bicentennial Tower there.. it's 134 feet high.

Yeah I forgot how to get the pictures all in a nice line... sorry about that

Obviously because I've grown up here and don't have to assume what it's like but it still always amazes me how often folks are surprised that they cannot actually see across the lake.

No doubt, I first went there 10 yrs ago and was amazed at it looking more like an ocean than a lake

i lived in the erie area for about 4 years and i loved going to the beach and just walking in the sand. . .the beaches are beautiful in the summer, lots to look at. . .hahaha

there is some truth to that but the "monster" is just some HUGE!!!! muskie or something like that, it has been hooked and seen but never landed

Some of the native American tribes used to tell tales of a giant monster fish that caused crazy huge waves some parts of the lakes are known for.

Then, there's the "Great Lakes Triangle."

That would be "Champ" who inhabits Lake Champlain.
